Frequently asked
Can we have family photos during the newborn shooting ?
Yes, of course you can and I always plan time for family photos during the photo shoot.
My baby has bad skin / I have bad skin / I have scars on my body / etc. Will you retouch them?
All these and similar problems like skin correction, flying hair, teeth whitening, eye whitening etc. are included in high-end retouching.
High-end retouching packages are available separately and can be ordered after your photo shoot. Otherwise photoshooting packages contain optimised digital photos.
What should I bring with me?
Extra diapers, wipes, a pacifier and extra breast or bottle milk.
Will we be able to do all the poses I see at Pinterest?
Not every baby will be able to do every pose. It depends on his age, mood, health, etc.
What if the baby is not calm?
Before the photo shoot you will receive a preparation document. There you will find some tips and tricks to help you prepare your baby for the shoot so that he or she is calm during the shoot.
I also have some tricks to calm the babies. But every baby is different and no one can guarantee 100% that the baby will stay calm during the whole time. If this is important to you, I would recommend to book at least the middle package, so that we have enough time in any case.
When should we take newborn photos?
I recommend that you take your newborn photos between 5-15 days. There are several reasons to schedule your photo session at this time, the first reason being that babies are easiest to work with within the first 2 weeks after birth. During this time babies sleep most of the day, which makes it very easy to get them into poses. Since the baby has not come out of the womb for a long period of time, it is also more likely to curl up in „uterus-like“ poses, sleep longer and not mind being unclothed.
What if my baby is older than 15 days?
We can still schedule a session, but your baby might be more alert and less likely to come into the curled up positions. We’ll still be able to take really cute pictures of the wrapped and posed baby, including all the little details – fingers, toes, lips and eyelashes.
Are props included? If so, what kind of props do you have?
While i do provide a selection of props for the baby photos, parents are welcome to bring their own props to help create more personalized photos for the baby.
Here is a list of some of the props i can provide for your photo session:
Various Back Drops
knitted caps, pants in different colors
Headbands for girls in different colors
Baskets and buckets
What is an optimised digital photo?
Digital photos are the photos you can view on your mobile devices, computers, etc.
Optimized digital photo means that exposure, contrast, sharpness and white balance of the original digital negative have been optimized.
Will you come to my home or do I have to come to the studio?
The session will either take place in my studio or I will come to your home with my assistant. The prices for home shooting and studio shooting are different. Please check the prices here.
How can I reserve my appointment?
Appointments are only provisionally reserved until the shooting fee is paid.
Is hair and make-up included in the price?
No, it is not. If you want to have hair and make-up, I will arrange someone for you and it will be paid separately. Professional make-up artists are about 200 to 300 CHF. Please let me know in advance if you wish to do this, because they are usually booked out long before the appointment.
What happens if it takes longer than necessary?
If the agreed shooting time is exceeded by more than 5 minutes, CHF 25.00 will be charged for each additional 15 minutes.
Should I bring my own clothes?
You are welcome to bring your own clothes. For pregnancy shootings I have different clothes in my studio, but if they are not to your liking, you can bring tyour own clothing.
Can I decide which package I want to choose during the photo shoot?
Unfortunately, it is not possible to decide during the shooting which package you want to choose, because the shooting planning is done accordingly to the package you chose before.
How can I pay?
Currently only with the bill.
What happens if I have to cancel the photo shooting?
– In case of cancellation up to 48 hours before the agreed start date, the customer will not be charged anything.
– In case of cancellation between 48 hours and 24 hours before the agreed start date, the customer is obliged to pay 100% of the agreed reservation fee. However, the customer will receive a voucher from the photographer for the value of the reservation fee.
